How many points each offence carries, how long they last, and when a suspension is triggered.
Fully licensed
Suspension once 15 or more points accumulate within a two-year period.
GDL and learner
Suspension at just 8 points. A suspension also resets the graduation timeline.
How long they last
Demerits sit on the record for two years. The conviction itself stays on your abstract for three.
