A successful result means
- The charge is withdrawn or dismissed; or
- The charge is amended to a different offence carrying fewer demerit points (including zero); or
- The charge is resolved with a reduction in demerit points recorded against the licence; or
- The charge is resolved with a reduction in the fine of $X or more; or
- In an IRS / SafeRoads matter, the sanction is cancelled or reduced.
If none of these is achieved: no fee owed. No consultation fee. No file-opening fee. No disbursements. Nothing.
