Driving while suspended, disqualified or unauthorised
About this charge
Driving while your licence is suspended or disqualified is treated seriously by the courts, carries demerit points and a fine, and can lead to vehicle seizure and further suspension. Where the suspension arose from unpaid fines or an administrative step, there are often avenues to address the underlying cause as well as the charge. If the disqualification is a criminal one, the matter is more serious still and is dealt with as a Criminal Code offence.
