Operating an uninsured vehicle is among the most financially dangerous charges on this list. Beyond a substantial fine and possible licence suspension, an uninsured at-fault driver is personally liable for the losses of everyone involved; that exposure can run to hundreds of thousands of dollars, and a conviction makes future insurance far harder and costlier to obtain.
